Pete Goettner is a co-founder and CEO at Table8 and a General Partner at Worldview Technology Partners, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm. Over the past 20 years he has been an entrepreneur, investor, and innovator in the enterprise and consumer software markets. Before Table8 and Worldview he was co-founder and CEO of DigitalThink, a leading e-learning company and SaaS pioneer. Pete led DigitalThink to an IPO in 2000 and a subsequent acquisition by Convergys in 2004. A chronic procrastinator, he is now regularly spotted dining in style at places he could never have gotten into without Table8.
Santosh Jayaram is a co-founder and VP of Business Development at Table8. Previously, Santosh was the VP of Business Operations at Twitter, Inc., where he led strategy and global business operations through periods of sustained and explosive growth at the company. Prior to Twitter, Santosh managed the Search Quality Operations team at Google, helping advance the overall quality and relevance of Google's search products. A veritable foodie and amateur Instagram food photographer, Santosh founded Table8 so that lack of planning would never again get in the way of a great meal.
Virginia Miller is Senior Managing Editor and Vice President of Content at Table8. A respected Bay Area food and drink writer with a background in HR management, Virginia leads the development and curation of Table8’s concierge restaurant databases in cities around the world, and is creating Table8’s international awards program. Prior to joining Table8, Virginia held positions as the SF/Northern California Editor for Zagat and the SF Bay Guardian’s senior food and drink critic. She has written and edited for a long list of food, drink, and travel publications worldwide, and is delighted to work for a company where her annual 600+ restaurant visits are a welcome asset.
Maciek Pietrzyk is the Director of Marketing at Table8. No stranger to start-ups, Maciek has held Senior Performance Marketing and User Acquisition positions at young companies in the technology, e-commerce, and gaming space. Just prior to joining Table8, he led user acquisition efforts with a focus on SEM, SEO, DSP, Facebook and analytics at gaming company Kixeye, overseeing an unprecedented growth in the company's user base. Maciek brings to Table8 both a proven expertise in analytics, demand generation, and performance/social marketing as well as a deep appreciation of dining out, especially the art of food and wine pairing.
Paul Vitagliano is the Vice President of Sales at Table8 and a board member of The Trotter Project. An entrepreneur with over 10 years experience in high-end segment sales and marketing, Paul leads the charge in developing restaurant partnerships as Table8 expands into new markets. Before joining Table8, he co-founded the Pony Up Group, specializing in film/venture financing, production & partnerships. Just prior to that, at Bombardier Aerospace, he sold and marketed private jets to VIP clients (and discovered, when entertaining them, the near impossibility of getting a last-minute table at a popular restaurant). An avid foodie, Paul is most relaxed when watching food-centric television shows and, more importantly, eating.
José Andrés is an internationally recognized culinary innovator, passionate advocate for food and hunger issues, author, educator, television personality and chef/owner of ThinkFoodGroup. Named one of the most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2012 and Outstanding Chef by the James Beard Foundation in 2011, Andrés is considered Spain’s unofficial culinary ambassador. ThinkFoodGroup restaurants, considered among LA and DC’s finest dining destinations, include Minibar, Jaleo, Oyamel, Zaytinya, The Bazaar, and SAAM.
Ahmass Fakahany is the CEO and Owner of the Altamarea Group, the hospitality brand behind eleven highly acclaimed restaurants in New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, London, Istanbul and Hong Kong. Widely recognized for excellence, Altamarea Group restaurants have received honors from the James Beard Foundation, the Michelin Guide, the New York Times, and Relais and Chateaux. Prior to founding the Altamarea Group, Ahmass served as President & Chief Operating Officer at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.
Pat Kuleto is a leading restaurateur, designer, and winemaker whose influence in the restaurant industry has been recognized by Bon Appetit, Time Magazine, and the James Beard Foundation. Over his nearly 40 year career, Kuleto has collaborated with some of the country’s most acclaimed chefs, creating restaurants celebrated for inspired food, wine, and design. His San Francisco restaurants include design and culinary standouts such as Boulevard, Farallon, and Waterbar.
Jamis MacNiven is the founder and owner of Buck's, Silicon Valley's iconic restaurant. Some of the most influential tech deals are done at this venture capitalist hangout. MacNiven, who is as recognizable as his establishment, started in the business as a builder. He created over 20 restaurants in San Francisco, including Prego, Ciao, MacArthur Park San Francisco and the Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco.
Jay Meyer is vice president and publisher of Travel + Leisure. Meyer was named to head Travel + Leisure's sales and marketing in 2012 following his five year stint as Vice President and Associate Publisher of Food & Wine. Previously, Meyer was Vice President and Director of Corporate Sales for American Express Publishing, and played an integral role in the expansion of its corporate sales and marketing team.
Charles Phan is Executive Chef and Owner of The Slanted Door family of restaurants. Opened in 1995, The Slanted Door received the James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Restaurant in 2014. Phan has received numerous other culinary accolades including the James Beard Foundation award for “Best Chef California.” His family of restaurants also includes Out the Door, Hard Water and The Coachman.
